Why the new iPhone 14 technologies are changing the phone industry
Apple have launched there new iPhone 14 series on September 7 with minor improvements compared to the last year model iPhone 13. However, the new technologies that has been introduced to the new iPhones has just changed the phone industry, Here is why.
1. Dynamic island
The Dynamic Island or as I like to call it "The Dynamic Pill💊". We are no strangers for apple unique notch design when it was first introduced 2018 , and to be honest it is a bit outdated compared to android phones even with the iPhone 13 and the regular iPhone 14 notch. However, what apple did with the notch design and software is just mind-blowing. Not only they changed the notch but also made it dynamic and very useful, and this is the best implementation of software hardware harmony where physical components aren't just for show. I believe The New Dynamic Pill blew the regular O-notch out of the water.
2. Emergency SOS Via Satellites
The Emergency SOS Via Satellites Feature . Simply put this is the future , what apple made here is phenomenal and need a lot of praise , I agree that it might be a impractical and useless feature for a lot of people including me. However, what apple made here is going to change many industries, since it is the first phone to not ever include a large antenna to connect to satellite, I believe this feature will be very useful for Starlink and I believe further upgrades to this feature will make us reach the internet of satellites level without any bushy and ugly antennas to hold us back.
3. Crash Detection
Crash Detection feature, it might not be a new feature for cars and all vehicles in general. However, it is definitely a first for a Phone. Apple have launched the new Crash Detection, which surly not expected. According to WHO Around 1.3 million people die each year because of vehicles accidents, I believe this new feature will be a life saver for a lot of people, it wont be too long until android catch up to the feature. However, this feature still to be only on the new iPhone series.
All in all, Those 3 new features will heavily impact the industry of phones , not only that but the world itself . Apple keep pushing the limits and redefine what a phone is supposed to be and I highly appreciate that as a tech nerd. Apple might not be first to create a smaller notch nor the first to introduce more features, but they wait to make the existent features better.
